Rising junior Trey Johnson (Lawrenceville, Ga./Central Gwinnett) recorded 152 tackles, 21.5 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks in 10 games last season. As a result he is one of the most coveted prospects from Georgia with offers from Auburn, Tennessee, Florida, FSU, Mississippi State, South Carolina, USC and many others. "Trey has super instincts," Central Gwinnett coach Todd Wofford said. "He has a nose for the football. Trey plays with a motor that doesn't stop. He's one of those defensive players that tries to run through blockers, linemen, running backs or whoever is in his way. Trey just blows everything up. If he doesn't make the initial hit you better believe he will be in on the tackle. Trey Johnson is a tackling machine." While Johnson is stout against the run he knows he has to play the pass better. But he also knows that he's still young and has two years left of high school ball to keep refining his linebacking skills.
