Welcome to the first edition of "Three Downs & Punt" written during the post-regular season, or as my wife likes to call it, "You have no more excuses, put up the freaking Christmas decorations already."
Before we snap the ball, a quick nod to Virginia Tech head coach Frank Beamer, who asked me how many Hokies games I'd covered this year. I told him three. "What's our record in those games?" I told him 3-0. "Let me see if I can't get you on the team plane down to the Orange Bowl."

Now that the 2010 regular season is indeed in the books and the bowl bids have been handed out, let's take a moment and reflect back on the wild and wacky season that was. There have been 1,454 games played in NCAA FBS football so far and, in my humble opinion, these were the five best games of the bunch.
