Patrick Miller to LSU; big in-state clash

Four-star offensive lineman Patrick Miller (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla./Dwyer) committed to LSU over Auburn. The 6-foot-7, 270-pound recruit had repeatedly said he wanted to play in the SEC. I've had the opportunity to see Miller on three occasions -- Miami Under Armour combine in February, FSU Nike Football Training Camp in April and The Opening in July. Each time I walked away with a different impression of Miller. In February he was very good and really got the best of Miami commit Jelani Hamilton (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./St. Thomas Aquinas) in the one-on-one drills. In April, he absolutely struggled and was beaten repeatedly by FSU commits Chris Casher (Mobile, Fla./Davidson) and Dante Fowler (St. Petersburg, Fla/Lakewood). Miller struggled so badly he wasn't selected to participate in the final one-on-one drills of the camp.
