With kickoff less than two weeks away in Florida it's time to profile some of the state's top programs and players. Armwood won its first state championship in 2003 and hasn't looked back.

School: Armwood Hawks
City: Seffner, Fla.
Coach: Sean Callahan
2010 record: 14-1 (Lost in Class 4A state championship game)

Top prospect: Four-star running back Matt Jones is a five-tool back who can run with power and speed, catch out of the backfield, block and is more agile than you would expect at 6-foot-1 and 225 pounds. That being said, he's never put together one great season and even though the Florida commit is expected to miss at least three games with a torn meniscus the hope is that Jones will return with the desire to fully utilize the tools he has.

Other committed prospects: Sheldon Lewinson, DT (Wake Forest), Javonte Sneed, WR (South Alabama), Eric Striker, LB/S (Oklahoma), Cody Waldrop, OG (South Carolina).
