Chalk up another successful weekend for the Miami summer camps as the Hurricanes secured the commitments of defensive back Vernon Davis (Miami, Fla./Coral Reef) and defensive end Dwayne Hoilett (Vero Beach, Fla/Vero Beach).
Miami now has 15 verbal commitments in the Class of 2012 recruiting class. Nine of the commits are projected to play on the defensive side of the ball -- a major plus for Davis.
"One thing you see is that the depth chart is pretty open right now and that gives me a great opportunity to get on the field early in my career," Davis said.
