Just days after receiving an offer from Florida International, quarterback Elgin Hilliard">Elgin "E.J." Hilliard (Miami, Fla./Northwestern) made a commitment to the Golden Panthers.
"I committed to FIU today," Hilliard said. "It's close to home and I think it's the right situation for me to go in and compete."
Hilliard will be the fulltime starter for Northwestern this year after backing up former ESPNU 150 prospect Teddy Bridgewater as a sophomore and junior. He played in five games last season and started three.
