With more schools adding the 3-4 into their defensive schemes, finding a big space-eating defensive tackle is a premium.
Earl Reed (Crestview, Fla/Crestview) is a big (6-foot-1, 320 pounds), athletic player from Northwest Florida who could fit the bill. With a 40-yard dash nearing 5.0, Reed is explosive off the ball and has the potential to be one of the top lineman in the area.
"We have a new coach here, the coach from Deland, Kevin Pettis, and we're real happy about that," said his father Earl Reed Sr. "Coach Pettis does a good job of getting his players exposure."
