One of the surprises in Sunday's Under Armour Combine was the effort put forth by defensive back Lucas Thompson (Winter Garden, Fla./West Orange).

The 6-foot-1, 185-pounder is new to the combine circuit, but he got comfortable and ran a solid 4.56 40-yard dash.

When it came to the 7-on-7 competition, Thompson looked strong at the safety position guarding against the deep pass and closing quickly on the ball.
