It's been a privilege to have a friend like Larry Blustein over the past 10 years or so. He has been involved in recruiting and talent evaluating in Florida for a quarter of a century and is a recruiting writer for the Miami Herald these days. I enjoy picking his brain on a regular basis, but especially this time of year because he's got a lot of interesting information to share. His prevailing thought for this recruiting cycle is one that made me think for a bit, but it's something he feels strongly about -- the state of Florida's success has come back to haunt many of the prospects from the state.
