Northwestern in search of a running game

With victories at the Nike 7ON national tournament and the Nike 7-on-7 South Florida championships, it's safe to say that Miami's Northwestern squad is the champions of the offseason events. One of the more impressive aspects of Northwestern's victory at the event in Miramar, Fla., was that Teddy Bridgewater almost played exclusively at receiver and safety to give his arm a break in preparation for the Elite 11 Nationals being held this week in California. However, even with talented backup quarterback E.J. Hilliard doing the majority of the throwing, Northwestern got play a tough slate of competition including Booker T. Washington (Miami), Blanche Ely (Pompano Beach) and Glades Central (Belle Glade) in the finals.
