Coming fresh off of a triumph at the Heath Evans 7-on-7 tournament earlier in the month, more programs have taken notice of athlete Devonte Mathis (Miramar, Fla./Miramar).
The 6-foot, 180 pounder is currently a quarterback at Miramar High School after spending the first two seasons playing at Carol City High School in Miami, but he won't necessarily be a signal caller in college.
"Some of the schools are looking at me as a quarterback, but most of them want me to play wide receiver," said Mathis added.
