ESPNU 150 wide receiver DeAnthony Arnett (Saginaw, Mich./Saginaw), No. 55 overall and No. 1 from the state of Michigan, made an official visit to USC over the weekend. Arnett was on hand for the prime-time USC-Oregon showdown in the Coliseum on Saturday evening and came away very impressed. He made the trip with his mother, two brothers and their wife and fiancÚ. Arnett was impressed with Los Angeles and liked the academic game plan presented by USC assistant coach John Baxter. While Arnett did not commit to the Trojans, it seems the race for the star receiver has tightened considerably. Michigan State has long been considered Arnett's most likely college choice, but the Trojans seem to have at least drawn even with the Spartans.
