Many of the top prospects in the state of Illinois have already selected a college, including the No. 102 prospect in the ESPNU 150, wide receiver Evan Spencer (Vernon Hills, Ill./Vernon Hills). He has committed to Ohio State. Center Brian Bobek (Palatine, Ill./Fremd) also selected the Buckeyes in March. Offensive lineman Jordan Walsh (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard West) recently committed to Iowa. Offensive lineman Ryan Klachko (Springfield, Ill./Sacred Heart) committed to Nebraska during the spring, while tight end Jack Konopka (Palatine, Ill./Fremd) committed to Northwestern in mid-July. Defensive back Glen Faulkner (East St. Louis, Ill./East St. Louis) picked Kentucky in March. However, there are at least five highly-rated prospects from the state of Illinois still considering their options including the state's top talent, wide receiver DaVaris Daniels (Vernon Hills, Ill./Vernon Hills).
