Penn State coach Joe Paterno has yet to receive his first 2011 commitment, but defensive end Shawn Oakman (Lansdowne, Pa./Penn Wood) is certainly a candidate to break the ice, unless someone beats him to it.
Oakman has been a varsity starter at defensive end since the beginning of his freshman season. He made 136 tackles including 17 sacks during his junior season.
The 6-foot-8, 240-pounder towers over most other players on the field, and then stands out with his aggressive play.
