Big Ten off to good start with 2011 class

It isn't even June, but there are already over three dozen commitments to Big Ten schools. Here is a quick look at how each program is faring thus far. The number after each school is the number of current commitments for that school.

Illinois Illinois (2)
Fighting Illini coach Ron Zook is going to need to make a comeback this season both on the field and the recruiting front. In regards to recruiting, he has two early commitments headed up by a fine out-of-state running back, Zeph Grimes (Bamberg, S.C./Ehrhardt).

Indiana Indiana (8)
Coach Bill Lynch is second in the conference only to Ohio State Coach Jim Tressel when it comes to landing early commitments. Arguably the top early Hoosier commitment is quarterback Tre Roberson (Indianapolis, Ind./Lawrence Central) who picked Indiana over a scholarship offer from Purdue.
