Busy news week to impact Vols recruiting

Just another week in Tennessee athletics.

Forgive the Vols' plethora of beat writers if they take the weekend off. Aside from preseason camp wrapping up, Tennessee has been the focus of one major story after another.

Women's basketball coach/national icon Pat Summitt dropped ground breaking news on Knoxville when she revealed she had early onset dementia. That was followed up by the long-awaited NCAA declaration that there would be no further sanctions against Tennessee's football program. Then, safety Janzen Jackson, arguably the Vols' best player, was dismissed from the team after one too many transgressions on a long list.
