We're looking ahead to the 2011 season in this week's mailbag:
Q: From @travisakers: South Carolina lost its last two games against Auburn and FSU but is returning most of its starters next year. How do they play in 2011?
A: Steve Spurrier's program took a nice step forward this season, getting to the SEC title game, although the way the Gamecocks finished the season, again, is disappointing. They were blown out by Auburn in Atlanta 56-17, and then lost to FSU 26-17 in the bowl game. It certainly didn't hurt their cause that the SEC East was way down this season, with Florida, Georgia and Tennessee all at their worst in years.
