As we hit Week 6, a familiar theme -- contender and pretender -- is at the forefront of the themes of the weekend:

The biggest test yet for Denard Robinson

Wolverines fans should call this guy Denard Revelation, or maybe just Superman. The entire college football media, myself included, has been gushing about the QB's exploits for five weeks. Get this: His rushing yards are outpacing 91 FBS teams. Ninety-one teams. It's easy to say "Michigan hasn't been playing the 1985 Chicago Bears," and that is true: The Connecticut Huskies are 51st in total defense, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish are 89th, the Bowling Green Falcons are 119th and the Indiana Hoosiers are 88th. Now, playing Robinson has hurt all those team's stats, yes, but those defenses haven't been amazing on D either.

Here come the Michigan State Spartans, and LB Greg Jones, though: 5-0 (like the Wolverines) and 41st in total D. They're 20th in the nation against the run.

This is only the third time ever that both teams have been 5-0 in the same season (1997 and 1999 were the other two), and it's the first time since 2003 both teams have come into this rivalry game ranked (No. 11 Michigan beat No. 9 MSU in that game). Sparty has won the past two here, but haven't won three in a row in this series since 1965-67.
