Mailbag: Big East, T-Magic, Nevada
After the Miami Hurricanes beat up on the Pittsburgh Panthers Thursday night, I got a lot of great questions submitted via Twitter. Thanks to all the readers for that -- and hit me up on Twitter here anytime.
Let's get to the Friday mailbag and open it with a Big East question.
From @shot0fclarity08: How can anyone put a Big East team in the top 25 and not feel gross?
So far, the Big East is 1-7 against nonconference BCS opponents. The lone win is the West Virginia Mountaineers beating the Maryland Terrapins. The conference looks pretty bad right now -- Pitt has the two Thursday night losses (last night and the Utah Utes game at the beginning of the season), and the Cincinnati Bearcats got beat pretty bad by North Carolina State, too.
Still, whoever the league sends to a BCS bowl game probably won't be any less impressive than the 8-3 Pitt team that got blown out by Utah in the Fiesta Bowl in 2005.
For the rest of the mailbag -- Alabama-Michigan, Nevada, T-Magic, etc. -- you need to be an ESPN Insider.
