As UCLA prepares to rise, USC may fall

August, 24, 2010

I had my own two-a-day Monday. In the morning, I checked out the UCLA Bruins; in the afternoon, I visited the USC Trojans. Both are obviously in interesting situations.

About the only things both had in common were these: They were working out on a surprisingly steamy day in Southern California without any fans watching from the sideline, they have an impressive array of young skill talent and they both wince when they think of the depth on their O-line.

After that, things go in opposite directions.
