This has been, by far, the most bizarre college football offseason I've covered in quite a while. The new info on Jeremiah Masoli tops it all off; the former Oregon Ducks QB (he led them to the Rose Bowl last season) was in limbo for much of the past 96 hours, but at 5:13 p.m. on Sunday, via his website, his status seemed to be official:
"It looks like I am going to be a Rebel!" Masoli is quoted as saying on the website, JeremiahMasoli.net. "The University of Mississippi has accepted my application for graduate school and Coach Nutt has invited me to walk on the football team. It will be official when my transcripts and other paperwork is approved. I am very excited about this opportunity and very thankful Ole Miss is giving me this chance. I really want to thank Coach Nutt for believing in me."
So, what does all this mean?
