Texas stands alone in in-state recruiting

Texas is unlike any other powerhouse in college football. The pull it has over kids in its home state really is amazing. Sure other schools -- Florida, Ohio State, USC, Oklahoma to name a few -- can really woo kids and bring in star-studded recruiting classes. But Texas football as it stands now under Mack Brown is just different. The cliché is that elite programs don't so much recruit as they select. Well, that's never more true than it is with the Longhorns now.
