Colt McCoy is coming off one of the best statistical seasons in college football history, during which he led the Texas Longhorns to a 12-1 record and a Fiesta Bowl victory over the Ohio State Buckeyes; however, because of the early November loss to the Texas Tech Red Raiders in Lubbock, McCoy was deprived of an appearance in the Big 12 title game and BCS National Championship Game. His senior year on the football field begins in a little over a week. I got the chance to speak to him in Austin earlier this week and we chatted about exactly what it takes to get better, the impact of last season and why he wants people to stop looking at him as that "scrappy, overachiever" guy:

Today in Bruce's blog: the entire interview with Colt McCoy, including his thoughts on how the Longhorns can be better and what Vince Young taught him; a report that McCoy's rival, Sam Bradford, might be even better too; how Virginia Tech can recover from the loss of Darren Evans; a restaurant recommendation in Lubbock, Texas; and the current state of former PSU QB Pat Devlin. For all that (and more), you must be an ESPN Insider. Insider
