Every year it seems like one program has an especially nightmarish offseason, and this year it's Penn State.
The latest hit for the Nittany Lions was losing their best player,
Sean Lee, to a torn ACL.
The Lee injury follows a hellish run that includes losing out on hotshot recruit Terrelle Pryor and an embarrassing string of police-blotter headlines. Over the weekend there was a strong column by Ron Bracken about how all of the incidents have chipped away at the program's stature:
