1. Gator Bait
Everyone is buzzing about Florida and its two-headed QB monster of Chris Leak and folk hero Tim Tebow. In the last 72 hours, the Gators' mind-boggling schedule suddenly looks, well, manageable. That's because UF is playing so well and its three toughest remaining regular-season foes (Auburn, UGA and FSU) all lost last weekend and now look very shaky. Not the Gators, they look terrific; now they go to Auburn, where the Tigers haven't been that nasty (getting thumped by USC three years ago, losing to unheralded Ga. Tech last year and getting handled by unranked Arkansas last week.)
As terrific as Ohio State has been this season, I think if Florida wins at Auburn, expect to hear some rumblings about a new No. 1 since the Gators two road wins (at Tennessee and at Auburn) would compare with the Buckeyes beating Texas and Iowa on the road. Plus, UF did defeat LSU, too.
