From a recruiting standpoint, the marquee game played in the Northeast last weekend took place in New York. Rochester Aquinas beat Saint Joseph Collegiate Institute, 40-20, in a contest that featured two of the top recruits in the country: Aquinas offensive/defensive tackle Jarron Jones and St Joe's quarterback Chad Kelly. Jones is rated as the No. 13 offensive tackle in the country, but may play on the defensive line in college. He committed to Notre Dame after decommitting from Penn State. Kelly, the nephew of NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly, is the No. 5 quarterback in the country and has committed to Clemson. He became the first New York high school player to rush for more than 1,000 yards and pass for more than 2,000 yards in a season when he was a junior.
