The inaugural Chesapeake Bowl will be played Thursday at Towson University's Johnny Unitas Stadium. The all-star game will match players from New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware (North), against players from Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C. and West Virginia (South). Terry Smith from Gateway High School in Monroeville, Pa., will coach the North. Biff Poggi of the Gilman School in Baltimore will be the South's coach. The game is lacking history, but not top-level talent. More than 70 players that received multiple FBS offers were selected to participate. Three of the highest-rated uncommitted recruits from the Northeast are on the North roster.
