Three-star quarterback Gary Nova (Elmwood, N.J./Don Bosco) said he remains committed to Pittsburgh, even though head coach Dave Wannstedt resigned under pressure earlier this week. "As of right now it doesn't change anything," Nova said Wednesday night. "If another guy comes in and makes drastic changes, it might. If somebody comes in and changes the offense and the way they do things, then I might have to start the whole process over again. "I spoke with (Pittsburgh assistant coach) Jeff Hafley [Wednesday] and he said [Wannstedt] is probably gonna coach in the bowl game [the Compass Bowl against Kentucky]. After that he'll step down."
