From a recruiting standpoint, perhaps the most interesting game in the Northeast last weekend was played in Connecticut, where Darien (Conn.) defeated Red Lion Christian Academy of Bear, Del., 21-20.
Red Lion quarterback David Sills made headlines when he gave a verbal commitment to USC coach Lane Kiffin in February, when he was 13. Sills, who is in eighth grade, completed 18 of 30 passes for 170 yards and a touchdown, but Darien scored twice in the fourth quarter to improve its record to 6-0.
