"This will tell you something about him," Glennon said. "On the day his mother was buried, he went out and played in a football game that night." Hodges' mother, Barbara Simpson, died of a stroke when Hodges was a junior at Independence High School in Charlotte, N.C. His father passed away when he was 6.
