Last Thursday was the day Nick LaSpada (Billerica, Mass./Billerica) had been waiting for since the end of last year. That was when the 6-foot-1, 187-pound quarterback, received the good news from his doctor. "I was cleared for contact and everything else," said LaSpada. "I'm actually ahead of schedule." LaSpada, one of the top quarterback recruits in the Class of 2012, tore the ACL and MCL in his right knee during the first quarter of a playoff game against Everett last December. He had surgery on Jan. 29.
