USC picked up a commitment from one of the nation's elite tight ends as Jalen Cope-Fitzpatrick (Rocklin, Calif./Whitney) was offered by the Trojans following their camp Thursday and wasted no time in jumping on it. "I'm thrilled to be a Trojan," Cope-Fitzpatrick said. "I talked to my mom before I left for the camp and we discussed what I should do if they offered me. She told me to do whatever I felt was right and this just feels right. "I thought I had a good camp and then Lane Kiffin talked to me afterwards and said they were offering me a scholarship. As soon as he did, I said I was ready to commit right there. USC is just a great school and I've always liked them a lot. They have a great combination of athletics and academics and the football program obviously stands out so it was an easy call for me."
