Stanford getting it done without a coach

There were no big surprise announcements at the Army All-American Bowl when four of the top players in the West all decided to stay in the region and play in the Pac-10.

As expected, Viliami Moala (Sacramento, Calif./Grant) committed to Cal,h Harvey Langi (South Jordan, Utah, Bingham) chose Utah, James Sample (Sacramento, Calif./Grant) picked Washington and Colt Lyerla (Hillsboro, Ore.) will stay in-state and play for Oregon.

The player that brought the most intrigue to his selection was definitely Langi. There were whispers all week that the running back may have committed silently to USC and would go public during the game. When Langi reached for the Utah hat, it likely surprised a few people but the talented athlete definitely loves drama, he had been listing Stanford as one of his favorites for months despite the fact they stopped recruiting him halfway through the season.
