Fontana (Calif.) Summit athlete Devon Blackmon led his team to the CIF Eastern Division Championship game last weekend where it fell a little short losing to Wildomar (Calif.) Elsinore 21-7. Blackmon will now turn his focus to recruiting and is down to three schools.

After playing predominately quarterback the last two years, Blackmon was able to move over to his more natural receiver position this past season and had a solid year. He rushed for 370 yards, averaging over 10 yards per carry, caught 31 balls for 379 yards and had 13 total all-purpose touchdowns.

Blackmon had national offers from schools all over the country but narrowed his choices to Oregon, UCLA and USC. The Bruins were the early leader and there was even talk of a silent commit. The athlete then visited Oregon back in November and strong rumors surfaced that Blackmon could commit to the Ducks any time. Meanwhile, the Trojans have consistently stayed in the race and will get the receivers next official visit.
