USC has been targeting juco players that are able to enroll early all season long, especially former North Carolina running back Jamal Womble (Sierra Vista, Ariz./Hutchinson C.C.). Womble signed with the Tar Heels three years ago and redshirted his first year with the program. He played early in the year his redshirt freshman season but broke his wrist in the sixth game of the year. He then became academically ineligible and transferred to Hutchinson with the intention to head back to UNC in January. "I decided to open up my recruitment and I'm not looking at the North Carolina anymore," Womble said. "I have offers from Memphis, Hawaii, Texas A&M, Pitt, and Minnesota and USC could be close to offering me as well.
