Oregon is beginning to establish some strong ties in Texas on the recruiting trail and showed it once again on Sunday with the commitment from talented linebacker Anthony Wallace (Dallas, Texas/Skyline). He has been one of the state's top linebackers since his sophomore year and was already receiving national scholarship offers prior to his junior season. He's one of the most physical and hard-hitting linebackers in the nation and has the prototypical size and toughness needed to play middle linebacker in college. "Anthony committed to Oregon," Skyline assistant R.J. Bond said. "He took a visit there in September and loved it. He wants to go into sports marketing and what better place than Oregon for that with their connections with Nike. He loves Nike and the opportunities Oregon offers after football is over.
