Wide receiver Brandin Cooks (Stockton, Calif./Lincoln) is quietly establishing himself as one of the premier players in the West region, regardless of position. New offers continue to pour in, but his leader remains the same. Cooks was already well known locally and after winning WR MVP honors at the Nike Camp at Stanford, his stock soared to national levels. "My most recent offer came last week from UCLA," Cooks said. "I talked to coach [Rick] Neuheisel and when he told me they were offering, I was pretty excited. I've liked UCLA for awhile now and have been up there several times already.
