Defensive back Josh Atkinson (Livermore, Calif./Granada) has established himself as one of the top prospects in the West region. No longer known as just the twin brother of national recruit George Atkinson Jr., Josh is picking up new offers by the day and has a busy summer ahead. The 6-foot-1, 177-pounder is an intriguing defensive back prospect because he could swing between corner or safety at the next level. He also has the frame to add significant weight in the event he moves to safety. At the high school level, Atkinson is a lockdown corner and one of the fastest players in the region. He recently clocked a 10.66 100 meter to win the East Bay League title and came back and won the 200 meter with a time of 21.88 as well.
