Fort Wayne soph commits to Boilermakers
According to ESPN's Dave Telep, Class of 2013 guard Bryson Scott verbally committed to Purdue on Sunday.

Scott chose the Boilermakers over Indiana and Ohio State.

"They see me as a point guard that can score and play good, scrappy defense," Scott told ESPN.com. "Over the summer, they came to almost all my tournaments and games. Most of the time they were there."

Scott cited head coach Matt Painter and his plan for using him as the main reasons for his choice.

"It's the way Matt Painter came to me and said that he trusts me with the ball and he can see me with the ball in my hands 70-80 percent of the time and I can be an all-american at Purdue."

Scott's twin brother Brenton is also garnering Division I interest.

"They (Purdue staff) said they're going to recruit him some more but I don't think they're going to extend an offer to him."

Brenton holds an offer from Ohio U.

Bryson Scott is the first 2013 recruit for Painter and his staff.
