Big Ten, Steven Smith are underrated

In today's game of college basketball, the season always starts with more questions than answers.

In college football, everyone thinks they have it figured out, so they anoint the favorites and everyone tries to hang on to the finish line to the exclusion of the unwashed masses. On the college hardwood, every team starts out with the chance to compete for a national championship. The truth is, we don't know what to expect -- and that is one of the many reasons college basketball is the best game on the planet.

That said, here are just a few of the things I expect to see in 2006:
