COACH AND PROGRAM

A frantic finish last season propelled Lipscomb coach Scott Sanderson and his Bisons into their first-ever A-Sun tournament. It took six wins in their last eight games to secure a spot in the field, an accomplishment Sanderson thinks will help his program improve sooner rather than later.

"Going to the tournament for the first time was a huge step for us," he said. "Hopefully, we are going to go back. I think going last season really helped us a lot." It doesn't hurt matters a bit that all five starters will be back. Sanderson is optimistic about that group.
