COACH AND PROGRAM

Upon his arrival on the Hilltop last spring, Jessie Evans said he wanted to return the San Francisco program to the heights of its illustrious past.

That meant challenging for national championships and becoming a constant presence in March.

While the Dons are still a ways from reaching those lofty aspirations, Evans did turn San Francisco into immediate winners. And the Dons reached the NIT, advanced to the second round and became the first West Coast Conference school to host a postseason tournament game.
