There were several occasions last season, that looking back, made Michael Holton think "What if?"
What if his Portland team had won half of the eight games it lost by five points or less last season? Six of those losses came in conference play.
Such was the way Holton' s fourth season went, though he could take some solace in the fact his team came close to a breakthrough season in maybe the toughest West Coast Conference race in the league's history.
