Billy Gillispie was a box-office smash during his first season in College Station in 2004-05. He inherited a 7-21 bomb (0-16 in the Big 12) and transformed it into a 21-win blockbuster. Texas A&M had its first winning season and first postseason invitation in 11 years, reaching the NIT quarterfinals.
The reigning Big 12 Coach of the Year knows creating another crowd-pleasing hit won't be easy.
