It was exactly as John Beilein planned it. The late charge. The improbable NCAA Tournament run. The Final Four near-miss.
Yep, when you have been coaching as long as Beilein has, you can sense these things. You know when big success is on the horizon. And Beilein had it all down, from the quick start, to the midseason hiccup, to the big finish. Heck, he even could have told you in January that his Mountaineers were going to knock off Wake Forest in triple overtime in the NCAA second round. Yeah, proper planning does indeed prevent poor performance.
