It was a weird 2004-05 season for the Friars. They had a big-name star who was expected to carry them to great things. But they had some young players who didn't know how to win. And then there were the injuries. When it was all over, the '04-'05 campaign represented a step back and a disappointment that Ryan Gomes wasn't able to close his career on a higher note.
