Cy Alexander has made some progress in his first two years of rebuilding the once-proud Tennessee State program.

Alexander took over a team that won two games in 2002-03. He won seven games the next year. Last year, he doubled the wins to 14.

The Tigers won 10 home games; their 10-2 home record was their best in 10 years. They beat Murray State for the first time in more than a decade, and they beat OVC Tournament champion Eastern Kentucky.

But Alexander, who built South Carolina State into a MEAC power, wasn't satisfied.
