It was only a matter of time, really. When you've got a coach with the basketball résumé of Steve Alford and a solid nucleus of strong players to support one dynamic scorer, you won't find yourself on the outside looking in at the NCAA Tournament for long. And after a three-year absence, the Iowa Hawkeyes were back in the big dance last March. How they got there, however, was entirely unexpected -- without that dynamic scorer.
