Team preview: Furman
Blue Ribbon Yearbook previews the 2005-06 college basketball season, exclusively on Insider.

Since the end of last season, Furman's top player, Quan Prowell, transferred to Auburn. Prowell was a former SoCon freshman of the year and quite a talent.
But head coach Larry Davis isn't looking at this year as a glass half empty but a glass almost full. Four of five starters are back from a winning season, and there's the intangible of chemistry and fun with this group that can make a big difference.
"I'm excited about this team," Davis said. "A lot of people will say, 'We'll have to wait and see how good they are without Quan.' But we were without him half of last season, so we already know the answer."
