(Information in this team report is as of October 1.)
This year Bethune-Cookman hopes to be a good team right to the end.
The Wildcats were a bit of a surprise in the MEAC last season as they hung around the middle of the pack and were 12-12 late in the season. Bethune-Cookman is traditionally at the bottom of the MEAC and almost always plays in the opening round of the league tournament.
A year ago, the Wildcats were sitting at 8-6 in the league and had a real chance to finish in the upper half standings. But Cliff Reed's club hit the wall and lost its final four games to finish 8-10 and in eighth place. The Wildcats lost two of those games by a total of five points.
